Hi

Can anyone do a 1841 and 1851 census lookup for Edinburgh for Peter Menzies.  I have him in 1861 age 23 which makes his birth about 1838.  Previously I had been searching the years 1843-1847 for his birth with no success.  Hope someone can help.

MENZIES   John   M   30   Joiner Jrnymn    Outside Census County (1841)         
    MENZIES   Isabella   F   30       Midlothian         
    MENZIES   Alexander   M   7       Midlothian         
    MENZIES   Peter   M   5       Midlothian         
    MENZIES   John   M   2       Midlothian 
There were two other families living in the same house. There was one other Peter Menzies but he was aged 18 month and the census took place in Greenock.
GEN10
FIFE NAMES:BELL, BEVERIDGE, MCNEILL, HENDERSON, HYND, MITCHEL, WEBSTER.
MIDLOTHIAN NAMES: BLAIR, CROMBIE,  FAIRNIE, GREENLEES, LATTA, PEAT, SNEDDON/SNADDON.
ANGUS: BEAN, COWIE, GOWANS, MYLES, SKIRLING

Many thanks for the info I believe this may be my family as it fits in with the only birth that I could find for Peter going by his age in 1861.

It also gives me a sibling as well which is great news.  I now maybe move forward and when I get the death certs tha will confirm his parents.  Once more many thanks.
