Nicholas Durbera(?) Williams b. abt 1765
« on: Friday 09 September 05 18:18 BST (UK) »
Looking for any information on Nicholas Durbera Williams who married Mary? don't know when don't know where.....
I do know that they had at least 5 children born 1790 - 1801 in Wellington, Stogumber and Elworthy.
Their son Charles went to Australia with his wife Elizabeth Hall and their family.
Nicholas and Maru's 4 daughters (3 spinsters, Mary, Harriet and Maria and their widowed sister Charlotte) are all together on the 1861 census.
I have found Mary (widow) and her four girls on the 1851 census

I've been through the IGI and can find no mention of Nichloas or his marriage.

Can anyone help?

Thanks & best regards
Michael

Hi Jan,

Thanks for taking the time to do the look up - it is very much appreciated. I've not come across another family in my line with only one out of (now) six daughters having married! Thanks again for finding the family for me.

Hi Jan,

No comment on why the girls did not marry  ;)

But thanks again, I now have found some parish records (Crowcombe) on line that show DURBERA is probably DURBOROUGH - now to find out with the link to Durborough is.
