Arrival in Canada
« on: Tuesday 12 September 23 13:08 BST (UK) »

Would like any information on when and, how my Great Aunt Agnes Jane Titterington arrived in Canada. She was 36 when she married to a James Jolly in Ontario in 1912.

Regards

The 1921 Canada census indicates both Agnes and James arrived in Canada in 1911. Agnes appears to be with her father in the 1911 England census. I don’t see a passenger manifest for her at the moment.

She was lucky she went in 1912 and not 1914. The the Empress of Ireland was in collision with a Collier in the Hudson River, she went down with the loss of over a thousand lives.
