George Sampson Grenadier Guards

Can anyone help point me in the right direction please?
I'm trying to trace the life path of George Sampson Born circa 1847, Baptised Wiggenhall, Magdalen, Norfolk.
He's living with family in 1851 and 1861 census,  then any firm record of him ends.

I suspect he may possibly have joined the Grenadier guards, 1871 census has a record of a George Sampson at a Barracks at Little Warley, born at Tilney fen end ( which is close to Wiggenhall)

Then there's an 1881 census that records a George Sampson as a nurse soldier in the grenadier guards at Rochester row London, born Lynn Norfolk ( again not a million miles from Wiggenhall)

Any advise on how I could get more info on him and try clarify if this is the George I'm looking for?
