Cassel prior to Naturalisation in 1947

In 1947 the schoolboy known as Peter Cassel, Germany, swore the oath of allegiance, reported in the London Gazette.  He was preparing to go to secondary school in Portsmouth in 1943 and living in Northamptonshire in 1939.  Birth 8th August 1931.  His alternate name was quoted as Gert Oscar Jann Cassel.
I have not got any marriage certificates for name of father.

Can anyone suggest any possible births for him, in Germany or in countries around there, possibly as Kassel etc I would assume.

Appears to have married twice - 1954 & 1984 but there doesn’t appear to be any children to either marriage

There is one in 1956, Romsey, Hampshire, a son.

Added: It neatly ties in with Romsey - I knew he was there but could not understand why he was in Northampton at first, just thought random travel.
