Think I’ve found her in the electoral register 1937-8
182 Well Hall Road SE9
With Dinah Berryman.

The address was redacted on the 1939 register. Annoying that the top line is blacked out all the way across and the rest of the page has ditto for the street name!

On the image I saw, she was on p2 and p1 was the cover.  I looked at p3 but obviously not properly.

Was there an address too please?  Presumably Robert Crook was down as a butcher? In 1871 census he was in Lickhall Rd, butcher. By 1881 he was a High St butcher (residence and shop) employing 4 men and 2 boys.

I can find Kate Smith along with Dinah Berryman in the 1936 electoral register.  Dinah B is in the 1921 census with a list of nurses, so no clues about Kate there.  I can't spot Kate Smith in the 1921 census so perhaps there's a mistranscribed entry or incorrect info in the records.

Dinah Berryman continued to live at 182 Well Hall Rd into the 40s, but Kate Smith doesn't appear again at that address for electoral registers after the war.  The last record for her at that address is the 1939 register. At least I know from the register that she didn't remarry.

Now I’m on the computer I can see that I jumped to page 4. Lesson learnt: don’t use a mobile phone to look at records. Fat fingers. :)
