REED of Castleford
« on: Wednesday 27 December 23 18:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I am the Granddaughter of Ronald Reed from Castleford. His Father was Amos Reed and he had a Sister called Minnie, also a Brother who died quite young but I don’t know his name. We have just started searching our family tree on Ancestry, so it would be really good to swap information. Thanks Nicola

Welcome to Rootschat.  :)

It is a long time since Imeson posted and I am not sure if the families are connected.
However, is this your Amos? You have not given any dates but there is a sister, Minnie.

He has parents George and Mary Elizabeth.

If you have not used Family Search, you will need to sign in but it is free.

Thank you for replying, that’s so good of you. I’m trying to find out who Amos Reed married as she would have been my Granddads (Ronald Reed) mother.

Hi Romypurcell0501

Welcome to Rootschat :)

Just to add to Heywood's post ~ I would start a new thread on a forum (<- In top of page across menu) in the county where your researching family history

This thread is pushing towards 20 years old and needs completing to archive

Moderator comment: split from original thread to form a new topic

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

If you subscribe to Ancestry, or your local library has it you will find the divorce record there. Basically Francis H Richardson was an adulterer and deserted his wife (Florence) and child (John Richard Richardson)
