Am helping a cousin who is trying to find more information on Elsie Thorne, who lived on Swift Road, Woolston, Southampton. My cousin has part of a letter dated 1974 that was sent to her grandmother and is signed by “Aunt Elsie”. Wondering how to go about finding more about this Elsie Thorne.

Have been looking for online obituaries or city directories but haven’t found anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed?

Just in case it leads anywhere John Henry Thorne died in 1959 IoW administration with will to Florence
Ethel May Thorne.  He was 79 (born c1880)
