Looking to find more on Richard Barnes earl of Durham and bishop of Nottingham and Durham

Birth 1530 London
 Death April 1595 all hallows honey lane London MSX ENG

Richard was married in 1548 in London 1st December when he was 18

With him being a noted person in history, I think your best bet would be to look for any books that discuss his career. I notice that he was alive during the reign of Elizabeth I, so it seems likely he's mentioned somewhere.

I doubt we'd be able to find anything that a professional historian has not already found.

The Earl of Durham is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1833 for the Whig politician and colonial official John Lambton, 1st Baron Durham. Known as "Radical Jack".

Richard Barnes (1532-1587) was appointed Bishop suffragan of Nottingham in 1567 and later, in 1570, was appointed Bishop of Carlisle.
He became Bishop of Durham in 1575.

It seems that Richard Barnes was a Prince-Bishop of the County Palatine of Durham.
