Thanks for all your wonderful work, Sandra, and the newspaper clippings. By the way, I did check the Mary Jane Irwin, daughter of John Irwin and Peggy Doyle and she married Robert Sargent in 1868. Some people think Mary Jane, wife of Samuel Teeple, had father James Irwin/Irvine, same as Robert Irvine in Blooming Grove, Orange Co., NY and Eliza Johnston, nee Irwin. While I do think Eliza and Robert are siblings, I am not so sure of Mary Jane who was baptised Oct 28, 1838 in Tullycreevy, Parish of Devenish, Ireland whereas these records have her birth as Oct 1845. But one can't be sure without perhaps her death or marriage record. I think West Nissouri where Samuel is from is close to London, Ontario.
I have eliminated Mary Ann Irwin who married Peter Temple. She was actually Mary Ann Irving and was born in England and died July 6, 1888 in London, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. We have to be careful between the Irwins and Irvings. I was suspicious right from the onset that there would be a Mary Ann and a Mary Jane in the same family just 2 years apart.
Also reportedly belonging to this family is Stephen Irwin born 1835 who married Elizabeth Robinson in 1862 in Dorchester, Ontario and he died in 1907 near Ripley, exact date unknown. Lot 26, Conc 4, Huron Township, Ontario. Lastly, Margaret Ann born 1833. Not sure if she married but was reportedly a seamstress in London, Ontario.
