hi looking for the parents of john Stratford born 1768 possibly in St Helens Hampshire. and if possible any clue on a brother he had two years older.Looked everywhere.thank you

- Where, when and whom did John marry?
- What were the names of his children; where and when were they baptised?
- Where did you get his year of birth? Why do you believe he was possibly from St. Helens?
- How do you know he had a brother 2 years older? What was his name? Any more information about him?

we have a record of Stephen Stratford being born 1809 st helier jersey. his father stephen is in land registry documents 1805-1814 for Rue de Seale, St Helier.  In the 1815 Militia List is a Stephen Stratford aged 43 and a John Stratford aged 40 - There has been no indication from the Jersey records that Steven was born in any of the channel islands. so for some time we have been looking for a Stephen and John born within a few years of each other. myself and another person with the Stratford surname have tracked back to john and steven born around 1768 to 1762. we have both looked at our d.n.a matches and they seem to centre in Hampshire. i am sorry this is all we have and understand if its a dead end. thank you Avril.
