Afternoon, everyone,
Thank you so much for your responses, @CaroleW, @amondg and @KGarrad.
I have been in contact with the Bristol team at
cems.crems@bristol.gov.uk who have replied today - but they cannot find any details, unfortunately; thank you for kindly providing the details for Gloucestershire, too, @KGarrad - I have e-mailed the team there and am currently awaiting a response.
I have a nagging feeling that I once saw something listing an Ann Ahlberg being buried somewhere in Weston-super-Mare, but cannot locate any details, now, and couldn't work out why she would have been buried there rather than in Bristol if it were, indeed, her.
You're quite right, @amondg - Violet was also known as Stella Violet Comyn. I have now seen her death certificate, confirming that she was 90, yes, and suggesting that she was cremated - but I don't know if her ashes may then have been buried, potentially with other family members.
So, still no closer as things stand, unfortunately! Does anyone happen to know whether there may be a database of parish records, or does this require in-person visits to a local archive hub?
As ever, and suggestions would be very much appreciated - huge thanks again to all those who have already taken some time to write and looking into this; I'm very grateful.
Katherine
