Frances Blore
« on: Monday 01 April 24 20:10 BST (UK) »
Hoping someone can help. Frances Blore born 1804 in Bradley Derbyshire, I have been searching nearly all day and can find hardly any information on her apart from a marriage in 1835 to a George Harrison in Ashbourne, no mention of the couple's fathers (Frances's mother's maiden name was Harrison so could be a cousin)
Frances's parents were Simon and Jane Blore,
 siblings:
Sarah born 1806, both Frances and her sister, Sarah, were born before the parent's marriage in 1807.
Thomas 1808-1876
Sophia 1811-1892
William 1813-1887
Maria Jane 1816-1885
Elizabeth 1819-1845
Eli 1820-1887
Simon 1822-1847
Anne Elizabeth 1824-1881

Any help would be appreciated.

There's an 1819 marriage for a Frances Blore to a Charles Haywood in Ashbourne.  ??? Record image states he's a widower, and she's "nearly 18". Bride's father is a Robert Blore (wine merchant).

So, probably another Frances Blore.

Hi Ashtone,  Yes I did find that one but wrong father, unless Robert was the real father?  thank you for replying.

Could you please link all records you can find relating to Frances, e.g. her baptism.

This looks like Simon and Jane on the 1841 census:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M7SL-T4H

And Jane on the 1851:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:SGDD-WRR

With her is Frances Winfield, born c.1805 in Bradley. She is with her husband, James, and she is down as 'visitor.'

Is this someone else? Have you already explored this avenue?

here are that James & Frances in 1841, in Bradley

James Winfield  35
France Winfield   35 [as indexed]
James Winfield    7
Elizabeth Winfield   10

James junior's parents on his baptism are James and Sarah - who married in 1828. There's a  brother George aged 12 out working as a farmhand - same parents. Same for Elizabeth (surname Wingfield)

Sarah died in 1836

There's a possible marriage for James and a Frances Heton (possible Eaton?) in Derby in 1838

There is a newspaper reference of the marriage in 1838:-

"At the Register office...
And at the same time and office, Mr James Winfield, of Bradley, in this County, to Frances Eaton, of Derby."

According to Familysearch, there is a baptism at Bradley on 5 Jun 1800 of a Frances Harrison, daughter of Richard Harrison and Dorothy.

It may be worth considering.  I suppose Richard Harrison could be related to Frances's mother.

Sorry but I do not have any links as I could find nothing, I have not been able to find a baptism etc.  Regarding the 1841 census showing the parents Simon and Jane Blore added by Queenie, showing the 2 young children William and Sophia, well William was my Great Grandfather x2,
The 1851 census with the Wingsfield couple look promising but why in the newspaper article showing a marriage in 1838 to a Jane Eaton, unless Jane was married before.
