Do you believe the parents remained in Scotland? What other info do you have on the daughter eg when did she travel to America, alone or with others?  Did you obtain her parents' names from her death certificate?

At moment, no obvious Ann Ramage nee Cowan death showing on Scotlandspeople indexes.

This couple look to have had a number of other children. Have you followed the trail of any of those?

Given mention of Ohio, an Anna Ramage of Scotland apparently married a Clyde Judy at Perry in 1905, with her parents listed as James Ramage and Anna Cowan.

Possible birth:

RAMAGE
ANN

COWAN (MMN)

F
1878
652 / 2 / 123
OLD MONKLAND (MIDDLE DISTRICT)

1900 census at Perry includes:

Name
Robert Ramage
Birth
Nov 1834 Scotland
Marriage
1858
Arrival
1880
Residence
1900 Coal, Perry, Ohio, USA

with his wife indexed as Annie.

The 1880 census at Perry has Robert on his own, indexed as 'Remage' instead of Ramage.

The 1919 census at Perry, has Robert with surname indexed as 'Rumager' and has Ann as 'Amie C'.
