Nora Newton, later Reeson, born 1912, died 1949.
« on: Friday 05 April 24 18:48 BST (UK) »
Hi all, I am tracing the ancestors of Nora Newton born in 1912 in Lincoln RD, and looking at her life too. In 1938 she married Thomas Reeson, having just stopped working at Robey's in Lincoln. She died in 1949. I am wondering if anyone has information about Nora, apart from her marriage, children or ancestors! Photographs would be wonderful. Also, any jnformation about the sort of work she did at Robey's. She was presented with a clock when she left the firm.

Sandra,  many thanks for all the information about the works on Canwick Road. As a boy, I remember seeing hundreds of workers leaving the factory at the end of the day.

Nora Mary was the daughter of William Edmund Newton, son of Clark Newton, and Annie Gill, daughter of John Gill, who were married on 24th May 1911 in Washingborough, near Lincoln.

They were living there in 1921.

Both parents born in Ashby-de-la-Launde. William c1881 and Annie c1879.

William with his family in 1911 at Westcliffe, Ruskington, Lincolnshire.

Annie possibly with her parents at Beck Street, Digby, Lincolnshire.
