The Family believe Pte 25267 William D Hastie was Wounded 16 April 1916 with 13 th King's Liverpool
Can anyone confirm that Please ?

William Dennis Hastie born 18 March 1885 - died 13 April 1918

FIND A GRAVE

Service No: 25267 -  Aged 33 years.
Regiment/Service: The King's (Liverpool Regiment), 13th Bn.

Son of William and Hannah Hastie, of 18, Maghull St., Liverpool; husband of Florence Hastie, of 1, Clegg Square, Great Howard St., Liverpool.

Yes Thanks Sandra for your Input  - the Family have that and are going out next week.

But knew he was Wounded somewhere 16 April 1916 and awarded Wounded Stripe but want to know why and where.
But the History of the King's shows the 13th King's weren't in Action iin April 1916 to be Wounded.
Confused.

I can't see anything in the casualty lists -- only 4th June 1918 to list his death.

To qualify a serviceman had to have been listed in a casualty list as “Wounded” or “Wounded – Gas” for example"…………

The first wound stripes were issued in Brass in 1916………
