FindMyPast has a few transcriptions

Elizabeth Barton wife of Richard buried 24 December 1748.

Richard Barton senior buried 22 March 1744/45  - as he is senior this must be his father.

ADDED This was before the change to Gregorian Calendar 1752
22 March 1744 old style, 22 March 1745 new style.

Someone has a tree on ancestry with father and son being buried 1744 so it's wrong.

Hi

FreeReg shows 2 entries for Richard Barton  in Sussex - one burial 22 March 1744/45 at Heathfield and another of Richd Barton, on 3 May 1745 at Angmering.

The Find a grave entries at Heathfield  don't seem to offer any help.

There is a will on Ancestry (relating to the one at Angmering) leaving  his estate to two married daughters - Did the son Richard have two daughters, Anne and Frances?

Alan
