ANN MORGAN (RUFFIN) nee TURNER
« on: Saturday 13 April 24 00:05 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone
I am trying to find the death/remarriage of the above.  Ann TURNER was born c 1828 in or around HOBART Tasmania to convicts Ann Williams and William Turner.

Ann TURNER married Richard RUFFIN in Geelong Victoria 10th July 1851 in the Church of Scotland.

Richard died whilst the couple were in England on one of their trips! in 1863

https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/5751747?searchTerm=Richard%20Ruffin

Ann apparently returned to Victoria on the Southern Belle in 1868 as Ann Ruffhead aged 43.

She then married William MORGAN in Victoria in 1868 see marriage certificate attached.

Sorry had to remove the attachment.  Too large apparently

The Amelia Free as witness is her sister Amelia Turner who married George W G FREE.

Any help in finding where Ann MORGAN nee Turner ended up would be great. Kindest regards Dianna

Have you read the will of Richard RUFFIN alias RUFFHEAD?

Dated  1863.

As far as I can see, Richard bequeathed nothing to his wife.
Bequests to son Joseph, son John niece Elizabeth Broadbent.

ADDING: FYI-
Niece Elizabeth was the wife of one of the executors in the will, George Adam Broadbent

Hi Sue I have not seen Richard's will!  Thanks for sending that, will look now.  That's strange not leaving Ann anything.  Hmmm !  Wonder what she did.

Thanks Cass yes that obit for her sister is great and no Ann mentioned.  There was one voyage back from England in ?? I'll find it in a minute when Amelia Turner Elizabeth? Ann and Richard were coming back from the UK.  Thanks need to find that now.  Regards Dianna

Amelia Turner is 11 years old on the ship Stuart Wortley in 1857. Arrving into Geelong
On board also are Richard RUFFHEAD aged 57, Ann RUFFIN aged 31 and Elizabeth RUFFIN aged 11 years.

Looks like Richard made a will perhaps in England as well.  Ann is mentioned there!

Went to England sometime after 1854

He returned on the Stuart Worley Jan 1857

He had with him his wife Ann, Elizabeth Ruffin (niece) and AMELIA TURNER aged 11? Thanks Dianna
