Yes, I realised that.
However, I doubt that  the George with all the aliases is your George.
In the prison records that you found were there indicators that crimes were committed by George Mansfield with Alice  ?

I'm not sure if the one I found was the same man .

Just an afterthought could Alice have used surname WALTON on babies birth ironically taken from the name of the prison she' d stayed in previously .

Thanks again .

In 1889, there is a record where George Mansfield and Frances Mansfield are bracketed together. Frances has several previous notes and using the name Alice Barrow.
Both charged with stealing several items, the property of Bridget Foy and Frances further charged with stealing the property of Joseph Parry.
George looks to have pleaded not guilty and was discharged. (I think that’s how it reads).

I went to family history office today to try and find newspaper articles about this couple
But didn't

This George Mansfield/Connor is listed under line with Frances Mansfield but their crimes are in different towns 1889

Where did you find the record ?
Is it on family search ?

UK Calendar of Prisoners, 1868-1929 (Anc)

Trial date 28th August 1889, Liverpool
George Mansfield (no aliases or previous) and Frances Mansfield bracketed together

There is this one which I hadn’t noticed before - not sure if it is our Frances - she was imprisoned earlier in the year

Trial date 17th October 1889, Chester
Frances Mansfield alias Sawyers - not guilty
Previous Liverpool 1877 as Frances Sayers

I did send poster a pm a few days ago re Frances Dillon. She died sq 1969 hull with dob 21.2.1887. This matched the birth record with unnamed child in Dublin which I also sent link to poster. Frances can be found in 1921 as Dillon and 1939 with same dob.

yes thanks softly softly i found alice frances' daughter frances mansfield  who married George  fullager then fred dillon  ,reply 15
that is the correct Frances Mansfield brought up by her grandmother ...! id followed the wrong parents

George Daniel Mansfield + alice Barrow are the correct ones

i also found record where alice aka frances got 2 convictions of 6 months concurrently  on 26th aug 1889

+ george was acquitted but ii didnt find the record of the people they.d stolen from #

in 24/9/ 1894 there is a good description of frances  davies alias mansfield and BARROW alice b1866 shes described as married no job. fair complexion .brown  hair , hazel eyes  oval face + various  scars
born chatham offence committed west Derby
released 10/1/1895
6 previous convictions looks like  heywood found all 6 reply 32

useful to compare with other records

because he was acquitted george is not on that uk register of habitual criminals
but there are later court appearances which might be him

another interesting twist in the BARROW girls name changing ...sister Amelia  known as Minnie was calling herself Alice Isaacs on widows pension

I've posted other questions about criminal records on the common room forum

& Have requested that this topic be transferred to England general forum ( the BARROW family is Lancashire but the only example we have for George MANSFIELD is London.

Heywood did you see any distinguishing features for the one bracketed with Alice ? We are obviously looking at different records

The ones I saw were typed on yellow paper .

You mention the Davies daughter on your thread re criminal records.
Marriage - 1918 Liverpool Register Office/Registrar attended
Minnie Davies and Joseph Simm.
I think I saw them in 1921 previously but Minnie Simm in 1939 with children.
