GRO Missing Years Death

I can't  find him either in the death registrations . Are you sure he died  in Swansea in 1972 ,and didn't  go back to Ireland ?
 Posting this one  below  with exact same name just in case:

 Dungarvan, Waterford ,St Mary's RC
Patrick Joseph Street
Died 2-5-1957 Aged 48 .
The transcript on their  page says 1987, but unless my eyes are playing up -  the stone definitely reads 1957. His wife's age would tally with that too as it's not often that a woman is decades older than her husband.
Wife's  name Johanna ( died  1983, age 80)

When was your Patrick Joseph  born?  Or his about birth year ,if the exact birth date not known. What was  his wife's  name? ( if  no longer with us of course) , or any  deceased family members names? Any extra  little info may help to track  his death down.

That is the Patrick Joseph Street who hanged himself in Dungarvan in 1957.

Which is hard to reconcile with chap OP is inquiring about, unless 1972 is wildly off.

Patrick J Street only appears in Swansea electoral rolls for 1951 thru 1953. Then in 1957, Patrick Street makes a singular appearance in the Glamorganshire electoral rolls.
Before that, in 1940s, in Pembrokeshire.

So, the last appearance for Patrick J/Patrick Street in British electoral rolls is 1957, the year Patrick Joseph Street died in Dungarven. Hmn...

I had seen the Dungarvan Patrick Street but discounted him.

The only precise information I have is that he appears on a cert in Swansea in 1950, and that he was Irish. The address then was the same as the Electoral rolls.

I have no idea as to age.

I was going to ringthe Register office but I`ve had too much going on!!
However, I`ve sent an email to FreeBMD just in the offchance that he could have been missed.

A key point for you to consider is that Patrick Street seems to disappear from the electoral registers in 1957 - precisely the same year that a Patrick Street died in Dungarvan.
Why no further appearances in the electoral registers for South Wales, if he continued to live there into the early 1970s?

It`s very puzzling.

However, I`ve already received a reply from FreeBMD, also stumped!!

I think I had Patrick in a hostel in Margam, along with a John Street, not sure but that "could" have been in second half 1950s.although  I`ve managed to mislay the information.
