John Kent was baptised 10.7.53 in Uttoxeter. His first marriage was in 1886 but his wife (nee Elizabeth Ann Lowndes) died in 1894 and was buried on 18.5.94 at All Saints church in Denstone. The 1911 census says that he married Louisa 16 years previously which would make the date of that 2nd marriage around 1895. She is shown as born in Great Malvern.
However, I can't find any record of their marriage, which of course I need to be sure that I have the right Louisa.
My best bet is that she was Louisa Maria Hadley, born in the village of Mathon, on the border between Herefordshire and Worcestershire on 5.11.75 and baptised at West Malvern on 3.12.75, the daughter of John and Emily Hadley.
But the second query is that I can't find any census record of her and/or her parents after her birth in 1875.
John and Louisa lived in Rugeley in 1901 but moved to Uttoxeter by 1911 and were still there in 1921. He died aged 78 in Q2 1932, but she was still living in Uttoxeter in 1939, her birth date shown as 5.11.75. I think that she is probably the Louisa M.Kent who died in the Cheadle district in 1957, aged 84.
To summarise, I am hoping someone might be able to identify
1) their marriage date
2) census details of Louisa and her family in 1881 and 1891
3) any confirmation that the death date in Cheadle is mine.
I'm posting this on the general England board because their marriage could be in Staffs or Worcs (or indeed some other county). I've searched through Familysearch, Freebmd, Freereg, wills, Ancestry and Findmypast. I guess good old Rootschat is my last hope!
