Dorset Family History Society’s Monthly Meeting
« on: Friday 19 April 24 21:34 BST (UK) »
Dorset Family History Society will be hosting a re-scheduled talk on Tuesday 21st May 2024 at 7.30pm by MIKE RANDALL entitled 'TEACH THESE CHILDREN NOTHING BUT FACTS - VICTORIAN SCHOOL LOG BOOKS’.

A light-hearted  journey through Victorian Schooldays through the eyes of Victorian headmasters’ entries in the school logbooks. Hear entries and events that may awaken memories of our forebears’ tales of their school days’ experiences. Discover how school log book entries of children and family names add flesh to the bones of our ancestors to bring them back to life.

Mike, a local retired head master is also a volunteer at Shire Hall Courthouse Museum in Dorchester and has researched genealogy for over fifty years and had articles published in Family Tree Magazine.
