I couldn't wait for the Northern Hemisphere to wake up - and downloaded Lily Woolis Sharpe's birth
Note the date of birth 08 Jul 1916
same as Teresa Hibbert in 1939.

Well done to mckha for purchasing (with her own money!) the birth record for Lily and solving the mystery.

Thank you mckha489 and all the others for all your help in this.

I have to continue researching though as there’s so many gaps to delve into.

There are some on line trees (Anc**) where "Teresa" appears to turn up in 1947 in Chatham, but as Teresa Burke, born in 1916.  She is has 3 Children with D R McKee.  The first child has MMN as Burke, and the next 2, MMN is "Hibbert". All children are registered under both parents surnames. Teresa dies in 1961.  It may not be "Teresa/Lily", it does seem a bit random and the connection might just be speculation from the owners.

It’s very, very odd, As she was (apparently) a spinster (mmm Budlin) when she married Harry Hibbert in 1934.  All the children were born in the Grimsby/cleethorpes area.

(Just thought:  I could maybe try & look at school registers - if allowed)

Teresa was last noted in Grimsby with Harry on the 45/46 Poll Register at 214 Hainton Ave.

The following Poll in 1946 showed our Edith at that address, but no mention of Bonnie & Clyde.  Then of course Edith went on to have Harry’s child, Stewart, later that very same year.

Talk about putting it about 🤣

Mckha489.  Back on this Hibbert/Woollas saga.
On the 1939 register it shows Harry & Teresa Hibbert at Taylor’s cottages, Humberston.
There are three redacted entries, which I’m “assuming” are Janet b 1935,christine b 1936, Maureen (b 1938).  All three we are presuming are still alive.

This gives different Christian names to those you have given at Tetney.

Am I missing something?

That’s because the Tetney people are John/James & Deborah Woollas. (Parents of Lily Woollas),  not the Hibberts.    Not sure who the redacted entries are there.  Their children should  be uncovered. But there could be grandchildren.

Did you ever get any of the other HIBBERT children’s birth certificates?  I know it’s an expense but I really think each one needs to be gone over with a fine tooth comb.

Morning mckha489.
I’ll think hard about any certificates, but I’m confused by the fact that if this couple are the parents of ‘Lily Woollas’, it can’t be the same person as Teresa Budlin who married Harry Hibbert in 1934, as their MC shows Teresa’s father as James William Budlin, fruiterer in Brackley.

Maybe there was some child/name swapping going on?
