Mchak489:   What a story!  The antics of the generations remain the same.  Such a rum lot?

mckha489:   I can’t see any connection with this family tbh, as none of the names have previously cropped up.

But, who knows??

Ashtone. I may be wrong, but don’t think Harry had a sibling called George William.  There was a George Albert?…..

Mchka489.   But wouldn’t “Teresa” have had to show her BC at the time of marriage?

And was it right to resign the MC 6 years after the marriage?

No. She wouldn’t have had to show her birth certificate to marry.

The marriage certificate was applied for in 1940.  It is a copy of the record on file. Just as any of us could apply for a copy of our own marriage certificates now.
The question is…what was it needed for?

If you look at Reply #39 you'll see that I was referring to the Woollas family.

Ashtone. Sorry!

Me & my sibling are now starting to question whether Teresa and Lily are two different people, both “connected” to Harry.

We know that Teresa Hibbert was on the poll register (Grimsby) at 214 Hainton Avenue, in 1945/46 - with Harry.

The following year they were not at that address, but Edith was!  And she then went on to have Harry’s boy (Stewart) later that same year.  So what did happen to Teresa thereafter.  It doesn’t stack up….
