I am now trying to find his son Peter Reilly b.28 Jun 1918 26 November 1988 Colorado County, Texas, USA.

Find A Grave shows a Peter H. Reilly died 26 Nov.1988 and buried in Denver (there is also a link to his wife) -

This name and birthdate matches a WWII Draft Registration card which gives place of birth as New York and mother as Ellen Reilly-

I don't understand. Going by the details I posted this is the Peter Reilly whose details I found but the birth details are completely different than the Peter Reilly you were looking for- wrong day/month/year and place of birth.
So, yes, I did find the one whose death details you posted but why did you send condolences to the family of the wrong Peter Reilly?
