Burial site Great Grandfather Edward Latham - Melton Mowbray

Hi,
Wondering if anyone could help me find the burial site for my Great Grandfather Edward Latham, who died 21st November 1950 at Thorpe Road Infirmary in Melton Mowbray. He was living in Melton Mowbray at the time so he is probably buried there. He left the family when he remarried and my Grandfather always wondered what happened to him. Sadly my Grandfather passed not knowing. I have been doing the family tree and have traced him to Melton Mowbray but am not sure how to find where he is buried, or cremated.

I would suggest first contacting the nearest cemetery to where he lived at the time of death and ask if they have a record of him.

Have you tried looking at Newspapers to see if there is a death announcement ?
Might mention information on his funeral

I did a search of newspapers and found a snippet about his death but sadly no information on funeral.

P.S. Just found a thank you message from his daughter for floral tributes in paper but still no mention of the funeral!

Hi, thanks all. Found some newspaper reports like you said about his death. I have also now found the report for his new wife Clara Latham's death in 1941, whose funeral was at Thorpe Road cemetery in Melton Mowbray. Maybe they were buried together there. Hoping now to hear back from my email to the cemetery.

I found him! The cemetery service has given me the grave location. Have put a request on Find A Grave for a picture. I have also been in touch with relatives who live nearer.
