Samuel Vincent and Jane Mortimer

In 1857 Samuel Vincent and Jane Mortimer baptised a son, Samuel Joseph James Vincent on Guernsey, probably St Peter Port.  Mother and child are still there in 1861 and Jane is a washerwoman from England and calling herself Vincent.  No sign of Samuel snr nor a marriage - can anyone help please? No other details to offer other than SJJ had returned to England by 1881.

1861 shows Jane as Jane Elizabeth

No, not a thing.  Jane is Elizabeth Vincent in 1861 but neither mother or son are in the 1871 census and I can't find any record of an older Samuel to tie in with Jane.

There is a tree on Ancestry showing she died 1866 Channel Islands.  Perhaps contacting the tree owner may yield some info
