Catherine Nolan
« on: Saturday 04 May 24 11:12 BST (UK) »
Catherine Nolan married Thomas Shaughnessy on 3 Feb 1853 At Carniska, Strokestown. Thomas and their children are fully researched. Nothing is known about Catherine's family. She died on 15 July 1907 in Cagglemore Strokestown and from this her birth is around 1832. I would be grateful for any information .

Do you have the children’s baptisms?
Are there any Nolan godparents?

Catherine is a bit creative with her age in 1901.

Thank you for your replies and the links. Catherine and Thomas had 11 children all born in Cagglemore, Strokestown. The youngest born in 1854 the oldest in 1875. I am in contact with a descendant of William. Fearing information overload I have not given all the children's details but will do so if you think it will help.

No we don’t particularly need all those baptisms/births.
It’s just that as there are Nolan godparents, have you managed to link them to Catherine or places of birth/marriages etc.
I see there are Shaughnessys in ‘Cagalmore’ in Tithe Applotments records 1825. There are Nolans in the same parish but in Lissmehy.
Griffiths shows Shaughnessy in Coggalmore and a Nolan in Coggalstack.
You will have this but I am wondering if you have found those sponsors anywhere which might match these places.
