Frank Albert LUCAS in Toronto 1898-??
« on: Sunday 05 May 24 11:46 BST (UK) »
Frank Albert LUCAS was born 18 Aug 1898 in Toronto, son of Harry Richardson LUCAS and Sophie HARVEY, who married at Toronto 1890.

On 14 Oct 1931 at Toronto, Frank married Christina DAVIS, born 2 Mar 1899.

They had one known daughter that I have been able to find, Christina Mae LUCAS 1933-1990.

Can anyone find deaths for Frank and Christina. They both appear in electoral roll in 1965 so after that.

Were there any more children? If so they may still be alive.

Thanks
Ian C

Hi,

From Frank's WW1 service file's death card he died June 3, 1973.

There is an obit. in the Toronto Star, June 4 & 5, you can see a snippet here through newspapers.com.
https://www.newspapers.com/search/?date=1973-06&keyword=lucas&publication-ids=33240

Someone may come along with a sub that can clip that for you.

Added: Frank's service file is with Library and Archives Canada, and it appears they are updating
computing services today from 7AM - 7PM. I tried to attach a link but it won't load.  ::)

Hi,

It appears the Lucas family were living in Windsor, Ontario in 1960. From the Windsor Star,
Feb. 20, 1960 page 25, the marriage of daughter Christina Mae with photo. Mr. and Mrs.
Frank A. Lucas of Church Street, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Having no luck today. ??? The link above isn't working quite correctly. Beside the Page #, on the left
side there are some symbols, if you hover underneath them you can find zoom.

Perhaps Christina Mae Davis/Lucas is buried with him at Resthaven Memorial Gardens ?

Hi,

Yes, Resthaven which was Scarboro Lawn Cemetery where a number of Davis family are interred.

Eyesee, this is the link to contact Resthaven, perhaps an email to see if wife Christina is there.
