You haven't said where in the U.K. the birth took place but in Ireland civil registration didn't start until 1864.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

You haven't said where in the U.K. the birth took place but in Ireland civil registration didn't start until 1864.

There is not and never was any such thing as a "UK birth certificate'

No, actually the rest of us knew the OP meant somewhere in the U.K. which is why we gave advice about England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. In any event it seems as though they have the information they need and can post again if any further details are needed.
