The Weald website
« on: Tuesday 07 May 24 19:51 BST (UK) »
Please can anyone say what's happened to The Weald website for Kent & Sussex?

I know that the owner is now longer able to maintain it, but it was up and running only two or three days ago. (You can see it on the Wayback Machine, but it's not accessible).

Oh no! I meant to make a backup of the site, but never got round to it.

Sad news. This Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) backup from late last year is working

Thanks melba_schmelba!

I've now been back to the site, via the Wayback Machine.
I hadn't realised that you can access the records only by clicking on the individual towns, not by using Site Search. (manukarik - please note).

Thank goodness  :)

Unfortunately the Internet Archive Wayback Machine cannot preserve the website's own search/database facilities. Hopefully everything can be browsed for one way or another.

I think it would be good to direct others to the Weald website, but I don't know how, especially as it involves 2 Boards, Kent and Sussex - that's why I put it on the Common Room Board in the first place. (I looked in Help but could find a way).  :( :-[ :-\

You can just put a new post in each board Melbell, a mod might sticky it if you're lucky!

By 'sticky', do you mean pin 📌 it?
