So would that be terminal (for want of a better word)? Should I try to get someone to fix it or would the cost mean it's not worth it?

There doesn't seem to be many companies doing TV repairs, I suppose that says something about the lifespan of modern televisions.

Take a look here: https://www.airbeam.tv/knowledge-base/how-to-reset-panasonic-tv/#reset-no-picture.

This is the most likely to work:

- Unplug TV from power.
- Press and hold the power button on your TV for 30 seconds.
- Plug the TV back into power.
- Turn on TV

If that doesn't work I'd say it's beyond repair.

I didn't really expect it to TBH,but thought it was worth a try.

New TV required I'm afraid. All suppliers have to offer to take away old electrical items these days but they can (and almost certainly will) charge for the service. Probably about £20 per item.

Thank you for the information  :)

That's about the price I was expecting for taking the old one. My local council takes five items for £17 but you have to wait weeks and I'd have the problem of where to put it,  also wouldn't be able to lift it to put outside, which is why I wouldn't be able to take it to the tip either. Some things are worth paying for,  much as I resent it!
