Smallholdings in Anglesey in 1881
« on: Wednesday 08 May 24 20:28 BST (UK) »
My 3 x G Grandfather Hugh Williams b 1801 was a pauper but had a smallholding in Llantrisant Anglesey on the 1881 census. "Can  anyone explain this lifestyle to me ?". I am curious to know how he would have lived .

If it is him - none of the details given in the opening post match

Agree - although he was the only Hugh Williams I could find listed as a Pauper and Llantrisant was mentioned  :-\

I agree with you - the details match but not the age or location.

I expected the 1881 to show him as a pauper/smallholder living in Llantrissant aged around 80
