Hello Kiltaglassan

Thanks for the reply and information.

John George had 6 children with his first wife Grace Esther Jones, then were my Grandfather and Great Uncle with 'Caroline Reeves' (which I'm pretty sure I have now identified) and then no children with his second wife Sarah Gilmore. The informant on John George's death certificate will have been his eldest son Henry Percy (Percival) McEntaggart.

It is the appearance of the two girls Alice Mary and Lily with strong DNA matches which would suggest that one of their parents was a child of John George McEntaggart that I am trying to find out if anyone knows anything This child would probably been born in the same year as one of his legitimate children. I know it is a long shot but worth a try with all the wonderful help from Root Chatters.

BTW I live in Donegal and know the 7 sisters well - are you living there too?

Thx again, Anthea.

It was worth a shot that this might be Mary Haughton. I am fairly confident that there was no marriage between her and Denis Collins. I am also on the fence as to whether Haughton was her real name. However you are all so good at ferreting out records that I still live in hope  ;D
