The 1871 records Susannah age 12, registered in Cockermouth?

What was Elizabeth's marital status?

Additionally I believe Susanna is Elizabeth’s illegitimate child prior to marriage. (Marriage status was “single”).

Sorry again just remembered your original post.

I thought this might be of interest.

1861 census-62 Saltmarket, Glasgow

John Melldown 32 a Coal Hawker born Ireland
Mary Melldown 32, William 3

Did Mary then have twins?

MARGARET MULDOON mmn QUIRK 1861 CLYDE

MATTHEW MULDOON mmn QUIRK 1861 CLYDE

Deaths

MARGARET MULDOON 0 mmn QUIRK 1861 CLYDE

Could this be an error for Matthew I wonder?

MARTHA MULDOON 0 QUIRK 1861 CLYDE

Only two deaths for Mary in Scotland 1861- 1864

MARY MULDOON mmn BROGAN 1862 ABBEY BURGH, Renfrewshire

MARY MULDOON mmn MURRAY 1861 GOVAN, Glasgow

Colin

Yes I believe that 1861 census is them. There was also a son John baptised in Belfast in 1854, but he disappeared.

They did have twins Matthew and Margaret who were born 21 Apr 1861 and baptised a bit later on. Matthew was mistaken as “Martha”.

There was also a final son Joseph born 13 Feb 1863 at St Mary’s Street in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, where John is a [something] traveller. Then Joseph died in Tranent in 1863 aged 5mths. They travelled quite a bit!  ::)

Thank you for the possible deaths. Unfortunately seems neither can be her due to the years. Given she isn’t listed as deceased in Joseph’s death record there may be a possible death range of Jul 1863 - Apr 1864. John Muldoon certainly moved on quick.

I think I located Mary’s death, Oct 1863 at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. Unfortunately it doesn’t mention any family details, parents, etc except for “married”. Although her cause of death possibly transcribed as albuminuria which she suffered for seven months (since Feb 1863), which was the time Joseph was born. So a possibility.

May have a lead for Susanna but it could be too much of a reach??

1891 Census Bedlington
Jane Ann Queen 29 Cumberland, England Washerwoman
John Queen 10
Edward Queen 8
Elizabeth Queen 7
Lillian (Lily) Queen 4
Charles Queen 2

There is a birth for a Jane Holliday 10 August 1859 at the Union Workhouse Cockermouth, illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth Holliday. Baptised 11 Aug 1859.

Also Jane illegitimate dau of Elizabeth, born 1860, baptised 5 Aug 1860 at Dearham, Cumberland

This Jane Ann seems to be residing in Waterloo, Blyth in 1880 as a single woman. She has an illegitimate son with John Quinn/Queen/Quin who she later married but I can’t find a record for.  He migrated to America in 1888 and returned 1896.

Some of their children’s birth have the maiden name Muldoon / Muldson. And Wedgewood. The Wedgewood ones are the children of John & Jane Ann (bought a birth record to confirm)

Found something else?

Joseph Holliday & Jane Wedgewood
married 21 Jun 1834
They do have a daughter Elizabeth born 1835 however she appears with them in 1871 & 1881 census in Flimby Cumberland whilst mine is in Northumberland & married to John Muldoon. They can’t be the same person as other Elizabeth dies in 1892 but the matching names is still  ???
