CHARLES EDWARD BERBRIDGE WW1
« on: Friday 10 May 24 22:32 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find a "forgotten soldier" of WW1.

CHARLES EDWARD BERBRIDGE, died 2 Mar 1921 after serving with the RASC. Aged 24, he was the son of Edward and Alice Berbridge of Fulham.
Charles had at least 8 siblings - Rose Alice, William George, Lily, Florence, Henry James, Ethel Maud, Edith Mabel and Frederick Harold. All were born in Fulham as was their father, Edward. In 1911, Edward was working with the Gas Works Carbonizing Dept.
Charles' service records show addresses at 22 Harwood Terrace and 12 Pearscroft Road - probably parental homes.  It appears that Charles was recently married and may have been living at Ashbourne Grove, E. Dulwich at the time of his death.
Charles' death was attributable to his war service but he was never commemorated as War Dead. Can anyone tell me where he is buried.? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Did he die in the UK? I only ask because there's a Charles E BERBRIDGE (born 1897) who died in Davos, Switzerland. Age at death 24.

No image, but it's mentioned in the GRO Consular Death Indices (1849 To 1965)

Apparently he had TB and that explains why he was in Davos. Could he be buried there?

In the absence of any evidence to the contrary I am going to assume that he is buried in Switzerland. My grateful thanks to everybody who responded to my query.
