DAVID BROWN, Wigan, WW1 1920
« on: Friday 10 May 24 22:59 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the grave of a Wigan soldier who died in 1920.

DAVID BROWN died on 11 April 1920 after serving with the Royal Garrison Artillery. Age 44, service number 114162. My information is very sketchy but the address which keeps cropping up is 11 Marylebone Place , Wigan which appears to have been the address of his sister Rebecca. Another source says that he was the son of Andrew Brown of Wigan but I have no firm evidence to back that up.
David Brown is one of the "forgotten soldiers" who, sadly. was never commemorated as War Dead. Can anyone suggest where David may be buried? Any help woyld be appreciated.

His father Andrew Brown is named as next of kin in his army records, at "11 Mariebonne, Wigan "

In 1921, age 41, Rebecca was at 11 Mariebonne Place, which is the same spelling as other records in 1921.

Trees have the parents as Andrew Brown, 1853-1920, and Rachel Rhoden, 1953-

David

Thank you, everybody.  Looks like All Saints should be my next port of call.
