Janet T Hibbert
« on: Sunday 12 May 24 19:40 BST (UK) »
I think I’ve maybe found a marriage between Janet T Hibbert (née Budlin) and a John B Lamb (both Grimsby) in June 1957.

On the 1939 Register I think I’ve found the right John at 148 Hope street, Grimsby, and I’m assuming that Janet is one of the “officially closed” records at the address of Taylor’s Cottages, Humberston.

On the marriage on FBMD in 1957 it shows janet as Gainsboro and John at Dover.

Can anyone please advise where I can look now for further info.  (I can’t find a death for either of them so maybe I’m flogging a dead horse, unless there’s a FT from someone in their family).

Is this the 1957 marriage in Dover? The woman's name isn't the one you mentioned. I won't name them, as they may still be living. You're looking at two different marriages in 1957.

Yes, that’s right.  Teresa Budlin married Harry Hibbert in 1934, but I can find no death record for her.

Harry died in 1960

And John died so very young.

I haven’t found any death records for Janet, so assuming she’s still alive, but I cannot find any family trees for her.

When and where did they marry if the 1957 record is wrong.

The 1957 record in Dover is for a different couple.
olives is seeing the two people in question in two different 1957 records (Dover and Lincolnshire).

So, the question is: Did JL and JH actually marry? Or does olives think they married, due to these 1957 marriages. We might be looking for a marriage that never existed.
