 ;D  ;D

It is interesting to see that according to the probate index when Catherine Lucretia died in 1940 her 'estate' was quoted as being £1,424 16s 6d.  and when Edward died in 1943 his was £70. 10s. 1d.  ::)

That tree Neale has linked shows who Margaret married and that she probably spent her life in Australia but it gives no information on Catherine Mellena.

It looks as though Julias husband died in Sussex

Their 3 children born in South Australia were Joan Catherine Mellena Stutley born in 1920, James Dunster Stutley born in 1923, Thomas Lowder Stutley born in 1926.

Looks as if there was another child born in England - Peter William Stutley born in Bromley England in 1927.  A marriage for him in 1951 on Isle of Wight, Hampshire to J. M. Attrill. I think he worked as a magistrate.  I can see him travelling to England from Capetown South Africa in 1957 with wife & three children.

Thomas Lowder Stutley died 26 June 1964 in Limerick Ireland. His probate records may give names of family.

James Dunster Stutley – 1951 reference to him as 2nd Lt in the Intelligence Corps
https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/39114/supplement/129/data.pdf
Also mention of him and a wife in divorce court
https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/277146534

Joan Catherine Mellena Stutley marriage in 1946 Surrey to Richard William Collis
She appears with the Collis surname, with 2 young daughters in 1953 on a ships passengers list arriving in Liverpool from Lagos

The "Andrews Newspaper Index Card" collection has a mention of a 20th Anniversary in 1950, of a couple Geoffrey Elwyn Lloyd Rees  (Lloyd Rees being a double surname), and a Julia May Lowder, that married 03 Feb 1930, at Ste. Andre, Biarritz. Sadly, I have not yet found the actual article.

This couple, with the double surname, does appear in the 1939 Register, but we can't discuss the details of that. (copyright).  However, there is a name blacked out with them, which usually means a child, who may still be living.
Hopping over to https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl  if you click to search births, and enter surname as just "Rees", and mother's maiden as "Lowder", you will find a possible daughter.

The https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/  carries some English language papers from China, and there are some mentions of the family.

The Carl Smith Collection (Hong Kong) has a few items on the family as well.  I think I can direct link;  make sure to use the arrows to scroll, as Carl kept names together, so there may be more than one card per entry.  Click to get to the end of each entry, and you will find the download link.
