Help needed please on RNR Service Record + RV6??
« on: Tuesday 14 May 24 11:24 BST (UK) »
Hi all,
Am looking for a little help on a Naval Reserve Record.

The three areas are highlighted ....

both the red and green boxes show the abbreviated names of ports - can anyone please help?

The yellow box clearly shows B Aires but is the word underneath Buenos Aires - disaster or deserted??

Finally while i know what an RV2 is - can anyone put me right on what an RV6 was???

Thanks

The one circled in red looks like Philo

Could it be the port of Iloilo in the Philippines?

I think the first one will be Philadelphia. The Delaware was an oil tanker owned by the Anglo American Oil Company.

Both the Delaware and the Ada were British merchant ships and it should be possible to trace their voyages in 1912/13.

Shaun J I did wonder!

Is this the ship we're talking about? Oops - ShaunJ mentioned it was a British Merchant Ship!

If Philadelphia is the first Port of Call and Wexford the third, is Birkhd Birkenhead?

can anyone put me right on what an RV6 was???

RV forms were administrative RNR documents - there were many of them but details are scarce. I have researched a few of them but I have not yet come across details of RV6 yet. Could you give some context please? Could you show the part that it is noted. Thanks.
