May I please have a clean-up on this photo? It was taken in Alaska about 1906 and I'd like it to maintain it as a b&w or sepia - whichever will provide the sharpest image. Sincere thanks for your help.

Thank you very much japeflakes and RJ137. I know all their names, and now their features are beginning to pop.

Can you share any insight on the following?

Now that you both have polished the photo, it is becoming more obvious that there is lettering at the bottom. Is that simply a child's scribble or is there a word there? Also is there a pen marked X on the foot of the fellow seated on the far left, or is that the leather of his shoe?
