I have an entry in the Register of Admissions of Notaries for a David Ross.

https://www.rosssurnameproject.net/wiki/images/8/80/NP2-9-David-Ross.jpg

I'm just really curious what the date is of this document, if it gives his age, and if it gives his father's name.

I think the bulk of the document is the English of the time, but I think the first short paragraph and the last are Latin. I think the first paragraph says the document was written in Edinburgh in August of 1664, but I'd love a second opinion and a specific day if anyone can decipher.

The end of the 3rd line in the main document says 'compeared David Ross' and then I think it continues to say 'writer in Fortrose of the age of twenty one years'?

Further down the page, at the end of a line, the words 'Walter Ross of Balamuckie' can be seen, but I can't tell why he is mentioned. Maybe he is the notary who is making this document?

Thanks so much.
