Nantyderry House, Goytre in 1930s
« on: Friday 17 May 24 07:14 BST (UK) »
I have this address as the place of birth in 1931.

Does anyone know if this was a private address or a maternity home then please?

Thanks.

Thanks for those links. I too found the building mentioned in a Google search but not its use.

Unfortunately the link within Genes Reunited is no longer useful although the message is helpful.

Would the place have been advertised as a maternity home in local papers or be listed in a directory?

Here are the opening paragraphs of a newspaper article from 1936. Later articles suggest that the house was on the market in 1938.
