But Ann baptised 1813 is surely too old.

It does seem so, but I have learned to always question and never to rely too much on ages on records, especially women. It is an option to consider, while still looking for other possibilities.

(My g-grandmother had me confused for a long time, until I discovered that from her marriage record through all the census records and including her death, she claimed she was at least 10 years younger than she actually was. I don’t think she liked being a spinster at age 33, so when she married she claimed to be 21. Also a similar story with a male ancestor who changed his age by 10 years to be closer to his wife’s age.)

I think this is the death of George Parkin father of Benjamin.

26 December 1846 Sheffield Daily Telegraph
Inquest George Parkin age 55. A long article to include all aspects required of an inquest.
Paraphrasing.
He was a clever workman, steel melter in the employ of Messrs. Jessop and Sons unfortunately addicted to intemperance.

His death was reported March quarter 1847, reg. Sheffield.

His wife Elizabeth possible death June quarter 1846 age 51 reg. Sheffield.

Thank you all for your replies. I need to take some time to sort through it.
Does anyone have an opinion yet on which Ann was married to Thomas?
Your help is appreciated.
