« on: Monday 20 May 24 09:20 BST (UK) »
Morning folks
Nice bright morning, warming up a bit after being chilly earlier on

Usual morning  for me,  not a lot changes once you are retired but I am hoping to meet a friend tomorrow.

Hope everyone is feeling brighter this week, a few warm days will make all the difference.

Morning LM and everyone.
Still cloudy here like yesterday but this morning it’s hedge trimming day. Not our favourite job but needs doing. We want to keep doing it as long as we can before we have to get a firm in to do it. We’ve got the height at roughly four and a half feet all round so it’s doable.

Hi LM & Candleflame,
Pale skies here.  I'm just filling in a few hours before a backshift.  Will pop to Chemist to pick up bp med, hopefully. Still feeling tired from 12 hour shift yesterday and block of nights before that.
Looked at photo boards in Northumberland Street, Newcastle yesterday on way to work.  Apparently, this street is going to have lots of trees planted by 2025.  The artist's impression looks very good.  It is said trees are good for lowering blood pressure so it might be promising too from that point of view.

Well, another bright sunny day with temperatures forecast to reach 20 degrees here.  This morning  I was fascinated to watch some wasps making their way into our shed via a crack in the woodwork.  I'm assuming that they are wasps, as there is a lot of scratching on the wood work outside, and my husband insists on keeping a lot of what I would describe as rubbish in there.  He's a terrible hoarder, belonging to the "You never know when you might need it" school of thought and, irritatingly, occasionally he is right, but you have to draw the line somewhere.  I will be telling him not to be surprised if he finds a wasp's nest in the shed any day soon.  Knowing his interest in nature, however,  he'll probably want to keep it there. ::)

Hope all are finding this sunny weather uplifting. 8)

We had a wasps nest in our loft, fortunately not inhabited but it was beautifully created.
I've watched them taking wood from our garden furniture quite fascinating to watch … from a distance!
It wasn’t quite so funny when I was taking compost out our bin and kept batting away an odd wasp then I put my fork into the corner and quite a few flew out so I made a hasty retreat!
The weather is lovely today, clear blue skies… great to be out in the garden and get jobs done.
Now sorting out half term activities for our two grandsons who are coming to stay for the week… 🤞for good weather!

Have a good week everyone.

Yes, the sun came out here too.  It was like a sauna on the bus going to work today.  I have just got back now and will have a quick cup of tea then must be straight off to bed.  Will have to be up tomorrow at 5 am for a 12 hour shift.  Have you decided what you are going to bake for your Church event Viktoria?
Goodnight everyone.
