FTM and Linux
« on: Thursday 23 May 24 13:15 BST (UK) »
Hello All,

I have been using Family Tree Maker for umpteen years on Windows machines and am quite pleased with it.
But ... I will be upgrading my laptop later this year (maybe Christmas), and FTM is releasing 2024 sometime. I was wondering if anyone was using FTM on a Linux machine? Or does one have to use a Windows replicator to do it?

Thank you all in advance,

Regards

The general opinion on Linux forums is to run FTM in a virtual desktop using any version of Windows from XP onwards

Avoid Windows based Laptop.

Buy a MacBook.
