Kia ora,

Upon my research I came across the following: A scanned copy of his death notice is available upon request on the RootsChat genealogy forum​ (RootsChat)​.

I have no idea if I am in the right section to ask this, but would anyone know where I could locate my great grandfathers death cert in this forum?

New Zealand birth, death and marriage certificates can be purchased from;

The search page I've provided the link to is very easy to use, although it doesn't have a wild-card search option.

If requesting a certificate always request a 'print-out'; this is a copy of the original document, not just a transcription.

To find other threads about the GRICE family, enter that name in the Search box at the top of the page.  This will search all parts of Rootschat ie NZ and elsewhere.

Perhaps the offer was made on one of these threads.

This is probably his birth registration, born before Alfred GRICE married Ada GIBSON.  In 1901 his birthplace is given as Pickering.  His sister was registered in Scarborough district.
