Who were the parents of Millie Stone who married Mark Kotkin in Q Sept 1923

I wonder why the mother's maiden name wasn't recorded on her GRO birth record. It is worth £3 to (hopefully) find out.

It is not recorded on the index which you have viewed, but it will be on the certificate.
This will be because the child and mother have the same surname.

I don't think that is the correct birth
the 1921 census has a Milly Stone born in Russia.
Is the 1921 included in the free FindMyPast weekend? Possibly not as not military?

She is in Whitechapel with father Abraham, and mother Leah and a lodger.

I found Emily (Alice) Stone in the 1911 Census with her parents listed as George and Mary Ann Stone. Another records gives a baptism date of 29th February 1904 with the same parents.

Emily Stone is a different person:-

One tree on Ancestry has Abraham Stone born about 1872 with a wife Leah and daughter Millie, but has no more information.
I tried making a simple purchase of the record on FindMyPast, but they wouldn't complete the purchase for some reason. I cancelled the 7 day free trial which didn't appear to be free.
Mark and Millie Kotkin are distant relatives, so I will let this challenge resolve itself in time.

Millie Kotkin died 6 August 1966 in California in Los Angeles. The birth date listed is 28 January 1904.*

1)You can apply for the death certificate, in USA parents are listed.

2) You can also contact Social Security they will have a record of her application that may name her parents if she did not become a citizen. SSN 517 07 1230.

CORRECTION I misread it.
On Mark's application for citizenship/passport he states he arrived 1910 lived in St Paul Minnesota, then moved to Montana.

The baptismal record for Emily Alice Stone also shows her birthdate as 5.2.1904.  1911 entry has mother in law Emily Sykes in household

Presumably the middle name of Alice was added at baptism but as Neale has said - not your Milly (Amelia)

There is a birth on freebmd in the March qtr 1894 for a Marx Kotkin but GRO online have it as Mary although the GRO search was male - not female
