Milly (Millie) Stone married Mark Kotkin in the September quarter of 1923 in Whitechapel (volume 1c page 399).
Who were Millie's parents and where was she born?
Millie and Mark emigrated to the USA and lived in Montana.

There is a tree on Ancestry with parental details of Mark only

Have you found them on the 1930 US census showing her birthplace

Buying a copy of the marriage cert will give her fathers name.  The tree shows her birth as 1900 England

Her death certificate gives DOB as 28 Jan 1904, England.

The tree shows her  birthdate as 11.12.1900 father Abraham &  mother surname Cakingansky??

Where does she fit in your FH as tree shows only one child born to the marriage?

The tree you found on Ancestry is mine as I've been digging around all afternoon (California time) and the info is unverified.
The 28th January 1904 birth date seems very credible and I'll take a look on the GRO for mother's maiden name.

The 1904  birth fits better with her age in 1930, 1940 and 1950 census.
Place of birth also fits better with marriage in Whitechapel.
The marriage record will provide the detail you need.


The birth registration I posted suggests she was illegitimate. Mother will be named on the certificate, but probably not the father.

I found Emily (Alice) Stone in the 1911 Census with her parents listed as George and Mary Ann Stone. Another records gives a baptism date of 29th February 1904 with the same parents.
I wonder why the mother's maiden name wasn't recorded on her GRO birth record. It is worth £3 to (hopefully) find out.
