Maurice Ellis

Hello, i was wondering if someone could shed a bit of light on Maurice? I cant find any record of a Maurice born around 1750 in Shropshire or indeed England. There is a Maurice marrying in Shropshire 1779. The reason i ask is because a Maurice Ellis baptised a child (Maurice) at the same time as my GFX6 Thomas bap his first child in 1777 in Wellington. I,ve been trying to link the 2 but to no avail. Thanks in advance

His birth is given as 1758 at marriage

Was Thomas also surname Ellis? 

If Maurice married 1779 - would he be baptising a child in 1777?

Is there a reason you have posted on the Wales board as the details in your post are all Shropshire

His burial gives a birth 1743.The marriage licence is just over 21 years
Burial Maurice Ellis 11.10.1818 age 75 years.

Which is abit too rounded but just saying he could be older.
Still I can't see him though.
